The relevance of ISA in Singapore

Internal Security Act.

From 1960s to the late 1980s, the ISA was used mainly to counter the threat posed by the Communist Party of Malaya (CPM) and its plan to use violence to overthrow the government, since then, it is a blunt tool which can be used by the ruling party against opposition members.

Malaysia abolished ISA this year, why can't Singapore?
